Visiting Jackson Hole, Wyoming

Earlier this year, Magda Brown was invited to speak by the Jackson Hole Jewish community and received a warm welcoming from the town. Many thanks to the wonderful community for hosting us and putting on such a wonderful, rewarding program.

Magda’s personal reward came from a woman she met the day after the event. The woman apologized for being unable to attend but said her 17-year-old daughter had been in the audience. The woman recounted that her daughter came home and described the experience in great detail. It was heartening to see how much this young girl and her mother retained of Magda’s story.

Magda also enjoyed meeting board members from their synagogue and viewing their Torah scroll, which survived the Holocaust in Czechoslovakia. It was a great honor to view and hold this special treasure.

Special thanks to Andrew King for helping to coordinate this event. We’re also thankful to Jason Williams of Jackson Hole Wildlife Safaris, who was kind enough to give us a magnificent wildlife tour of Grand Teton National Park.
